Luz Flores – HMB Preschool

Luz Flores has been with CCP’s Half Moon Bay Preschool for over 10 years now! She worked at the preschool as a teacher aide during the summer of 1996 while still in high school. We immediately knew that with her warm and caring personality, she would make an amazing preschool teacher. In 2000, she was hired to work with the 2.5 – 3 year old children, eventually becoming the lead teacher for that group. Throughout the years, Luz has been attending Canada and Skyline Colleges where she recently earned her Site Supervisor Permit from the California Department of Education. In the fall of 2008, she was on the Dean’s List of Honor Students in Canada College for her academic achievement. Luz is a caring, knowledgeable teacher who has mastered teaching skills to work with CCP’s youngest group, including potty training! She is also a great role model for other teachers and volunteers working at Coastside Children’s Programs. Both of Luz’s children, Ivan (11) and Kimberly (nearly 5), have been part of the CCP HMB Preschool. Luz enjoys spending time with her husband and children and loves to dance.
